South Africa- Hip-hop Mogul AKA is set to wow fans in Los Angeles at a BET build-up event  on Saturday 27th June. The 'BET Hip Hop Around The World Experience' will be followed by the global music awards ceremony on the evening of Sunday 28th June.
AKA, who has been nominated in the Best International Act: Africa category, will also be attending the glitzy ceremony where he hopes to clinch the title.
The Sim Dope star was selected to perform at the A-list party, as part of a showcase of hip-hop stars making waves outside of the USA. 

"I'm looking forward to enjoying LA and the BET's. It's a big deal to be nominated amongst Africa's finest artists at the awards. I'll be coming straight off the back of my UK tour so it's going to be nice to have some warm weather for a change. The performance at the BET Hip Hop Around The World Experience is definitely going to be a highlight for me," AKA said.

Simba Mhere death case follow up

Johannesburg - Five months after the death of Simba Mhere and his best friend, Kady-Shay O'Bryan and there finally seems to be answers.
The man accused of smashing his car into theirs has been charged with reckless driving and culpable homicide.
Simba and Kady were driving on William Nicole on 31 January en route to the J&B Met when the incident occurred.
The Mhere family has been outspoken about the incident, lambasting police for not following up and for not giving the family information on the case.
Simba's sister, Valerie, previously told The Juice that the family was told the man wanted to apologise to her family, but she had not heard anything since then
Today is expected to be a brief appearance with the trial set to begin in August.

The Avengers TV star dies

Los Angeles — Patrick Macnee, the British-born actor best known as dapper secret agent John Steed in the long-running 1960s TV series The Avengers, has died. He was 93.

Macnee died Thursday of natural causes with his family at his bedside in Rancho Mirage, his son Rupert said in a statement.

The clever spy drama, which began in 1961 in Britain, debuted in the United States in 1966. It ran for eight seasons and continued in syndication for decades afterward.

Macnee's umbrella-wielding character appeared in all but two episodes, accompanied by a string of beautiful women who were his sidekicks. The most popular was likely Diana Rigg, who played sexy junior agent Emma Peel from 1965 to 1968. Honor Blackman played Catherine Gale from 1962 to 1964, and Linda Thorson was Tara King from 1968 to 1969.

"We were in our own mad, crazy world," Macnee told the Wichita Eagle in 2003 when The New Avengers was being issued on DVD. "We were the TV Beatles. We even filmed in the same studio."

But while he made his name internationally playing a smart, debonair British secret agent, Macnee was never a fan of the James Bond movies.

"I think their stories aren't that realistic," he told Salt Lake City's Deseret News in 1999. "I think the sadism in them is horrifying. ... On the other hand, the books — the James Bond books — were fascinating."

Macnee nearly lost the role of Steed because of his aversion to violence. In a 1997 interview with The Associated Press, he recalled being told by producers that he would have to pack a gun on The Avengers.

Dr Malinga latches out on Cassper Nyovest for not showing up at his event

Johannesburg - Dr Malinga says he's besumed as to why Cassper Nyovest didn't show up at his event over the weekend.

Cassper was scheduled to perform at the Kasi Festival in Hammanskraal over the past weekend, which was organised by Malinga's events. Cassper didn't make an appearance because he apparently made traffic and the crowd outside being too "hectic" for him to get in an excuse.
Talking to Metro Fm's Mo Flava on Tuesday morning, Dr Malinga said he is confused by Cassper's argument and has no idea why the Phumakim singer did not Pitch.

"I have no idea why he didn’t come. Maybe AKA landed with a helicopter, maybe Oskido landed with a helicopter? Maybe they just landed on stage? But Cassper? No, no, no - he couldn't manage the traffic and so he went to Rustenberg to perform there. Maybe he just took pictures of cars and sent them and said 'I'm stuck behind these cars,'" Malinga joked.

"I'm an artist too. Sometimes you have to park far away and come with a disguise and police will escort you. But no, Cassper, the mighty Cassper, didn't want to come in disguise," he continued.

Malinga also threw away reports that Nyovest could not get hold of the festival's organisers when he arrived, saying his phone had died but that all artists had an alternative number given to them.

"The number was for a guy who was at the gate fetching artists. They didn't call the guy, they just said 'the organisers don't love us,'" claims Malinga.

But Malinga says Cassper has paid back the money, reported to be around R25 000, even though he has yet to receive proof of payment from the artist. He told the station that the money was deposited into the festival’s bank account, but he has his doubts about whether the money actually comes from Cassper.

"He paid me but there was no proof of payment. He told me ‘Malinga I will give you your money back, but I will not give you the transport money because I was there.'"

Maseru- Rapper Cynik Musef has revealed that he is currently  writing his own book tittled Mind Of A Dreamer. In an interview with Tabloid he told;

"its Called Mind Of A Dreamer sharing my view towards normal life to success, the whole process...I study & understand Success"

 We shall all remember he came into the entertainment industry with a song called 22 & a Milli; meaning he wants to have a million at 22.
