Khune and Mashamaite booted out of Kaizer Chiefs

Khune and Mashamaite booted out of Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs star players. Itumeleng Khune and Tefu Mashamaite, are said to be exiting the champions camp due to their requests for bigger pay cheques.
Sunday World reports that Khune and Mashamaite have been shown the door after asking for more than double the salary they earn currently.
Khune, who earned R3.9 million per season was now asking for his bosses to cough up R8.4 million while Mashamaite wanted “four times what he earned” which was R180 000 a month the paper reports.
Chiefs spokesperson, Vina Maphosa, spoke to Sunday World and confirmed that the contract negotiations with the players did not go well.
“The talks with the two players have stalled. The hiccups for the collapse were the offers presented by the club and the counter offers which were made by the other side,” Maphosa said as quoted by the newspaper.
The spokesperson also revealed that there is no animosity between the parties.
“Everything was decided in the spirit of negotiations and there is no bad blood between the parties,” he told the publication.
Khune and Mashamaite are rumoured to be joining Mamelodi Sundowns.
